Don't expect vintage clothing to be perfect. These items are at least 25
years old and have been previously worn. In a real store, you can check to
see if an item has flaws. But since you can not do that when you buy online, we
will need to tell you about them. We want you to be able to live with these flaws,
which is why we describe them as honestly as possible.
New old stock: The Rolls Royce of vintage clothing. These are clothes that were
never sold or used, and instead were stored away in old shops and factories. Although
they normally have no defects, they always need to be thoroughly cleaned, to remove
any odour they may have acquired while in storage for so many years. We take care
of this for you. All of our clothing has either been dry cleaned or washed.
Near mint-condition: Clothes which were sold but never worn or used only a few
times, and are "like new".
Excellent condition: Clothes that the previous owner wore regularly, but took
good care of. There may be minor flaws (such as a loose hem or a stain on the
lining), but these do not diminish the overall quality or stylishness of the clothes.
Very good condition: Clothes that have been regularly worn and show some signs
of wear. These can sometimes be repaired or cleaned, and sometimes they can not,
and in that case you have to ask yourself if you can live with that flaw or not.
How do you find your measurements?
Use a tape measure, and remember to leave some room to be able to fit in the clothes.
Remember that an effective way to get your measurements is to use the tape measure
on a piece of clothing that fits you really well.
Chest: measure the fullest part of your chest (wearing a bra) with
a tape measure running under your arms and across your shoulder blades.
Waist: bend to the side with your hands on either side of your waist.
Where you bend is your natural waistline.
Hips: approximately 20cm below your waistline are your hips, so once
you have located your waist, measure 20 cm from there and you find your hips.
Sizes
To make it easier for you to find clothes that will fit you, we have written
sizes, intended as a guideline, in the descriptions as well as the headers.
| XS- |
sizes 32/34 |
| S- |
size 36 |
| M- |
sizes 38/40 |
| L- |
sizes 42/44 |
| XL- |
sizes 46/48 |
The sizes in the descriptions can be difficult to indicate, you can f.ex. find
a dress with the measurements: Breast: 96 cm Waist: 70 cm Hips: free, which
we will indicate as a size 36, because of the narrow waist. The breast size
can be a bit too big for a size 36, but we need to indicate the smallest size,
otherwise you will not be able to fit the dress. This is why it is very important
that you check the measurements of the clothes.
